For the Portfolio round, scholarship applicants are required to send the following things to Singapore

1. A one page Curriculum Vitae with your major academic and extra circular achievements and also including your name and mailing address.
2. Certified copy of the Class 10 Board Examination Slip
3. Verified copy of school examination results/report cards for class 8, 9 and 10.
4. Scholarship Application Form fully filled
5. Certified Copies of achievements/awards or participation in any event in Class 8, 9 or 10.

The last date for all this material to reach Singapore is somewhere around July. It is not advisable to send the application through normal post or speed post. We have seen some of my friends not even been called for the scholarship because they sent their application through normal mail which is pretty unreliable. Also, there is no confirmation from Singapore that your application has been received. So, we strongly recommend that if you are serious about this scholarship, better send it through a courier service which is definitely much more reliable.

First, it is not at all necessary for you to clear NTSE to qualify for this scholarship. Even though being a NTSE holder can give one a headstart, but there are thousands of other things they look at. According to us, anyone who has more than 85% in the 10th class Board Exams can apply. What does matter are your academic achievements and your extra circular involvement, which are also equally important. We have seen many cases of students getting over 95% marks in Board Exams and still not even getting a call for the admission test, simply because they either did not have any or did not show any participation in extra circular activities.

As for guidelines on making a portfolio, there are no specific instructions. But some things you can follow are discussed below.

First of all even though it is not specified, but your curriculum vitae should a printed version (first written on Word) and not a hand written version. You can start of by including your name, mailing address and date of birth at the top of the page. Then after that you can have a table containing all your marks (or aggregate) in Class 8, 9 and 10, if you think they are impressive enough. Since they probably look out for holistic development, it is advisable to have almost equal space for Co-Circular and academic achievements. Try to show any leadership experience as they consider that very important. Any major achievements should be bolded. Also, don't be sacred to put in your participation too. You need not put only your achievements. Your diversity and keenness can very well be shown by your participation in some activities. Don't try to squeeze all your achievements in a page. Actually, it would be good that instead of merely listing down all your achievements, you explain your unique involvement in them too.
